有機農業のファームステイ体験

Interns are expected to learn many phases of organic farming.  You will learn weeding, harvesting, packaging, marketing, and a certain level of entomology, entomopathogens, habitat manipulation, (applied ecology) etc.  Usually you can learn what we have to teach in 4 to 6 months.

Some interns learn wine making.

We are currently involved with a tephritid cold treatment that may become a federally approved shipping protocol.

Interns are expected to work 25 hours per week.  More than 25 hours per week will be compensated at $8.00 per hour

We do not practice any kind of religious activities.  For example, interns will not be required to learn about Budha nor yoga.

Our farm type extra-curricular activities are mostly food related, such as cooking, preparing, and eating really delicious food.  Also there are many wonderful nearby hikes and nearby Green Sands beach.  There are only two green sand (olivine crystals) beaches in the world with one being close by.

Some interns think this experience very enriching and important to include on their future resumes.

We are a drug free facility with verification by drug testing.  By coming here you consent to drug testing.  If you fail our drug test then you can’t stay here.
